Patient of the month - Molly braves the heat

With the onset of summer, the Essendon Veterinary Clinic has been experiencing more and more cases of heatstroke. Molly, an eight year old King Charles Cavalier was brought to us in a distressed state on a very hot day. Molly's frantic owners had found her lying on her side panting heavily in the backyard with an excessive amount of saliva around her mouth.

Amazing 100km icy trip for one very lucky dog

A Polish boat crew made an astonishing rescue from the icy cold waters of the Baltic Sea this month. Aptly nick-named 'Baltic', a cross breed canine is thought to have travelled over 100km on an ice floe before being scooped up from the sea.
